In June 2026, after 31 years on Ghod Dod Road in Surat, Gold Point Jewellers announced the biggest offer in its history. We built up to it over a few days with a "coming soon" countdown on Instagram, and then revealed it in the showroom.
What the offer was
On jewellery above 5 grams:
- Flat 5.95% wastage on 22KT jewellery
- Flat 9.95% wastage on 18KT jewellery
It applied to all types of jewellery, for a limited period, with terms and conditions.
Why wastage matters
Wastage (also called making loss) is the gold lost while a piece is being made, and it is added to the price of most gold jewellery. A lower, fixed wastage rate means you pay for more of the gold you actually take home. Every piece still left the showroom with its weight and purity guaranteed.
